Quiet atmosphere. Good for all fitness levels. Never seems to be crowded. Good for bird watching, too.
Lots of space to walk and hike here although the area has turned into a quasi dog park. The former Frank Davis resort is adjacent to Machimoodus and it is fun to walk through the ruins of the resort and look at what used to be a major tourist destination.
Lovely, wide walking paths that left me feeling like I had successfully avoided contracting Lyme Disease. I am luxuriating in that false sense of security. Peaceful, sweet and unassuming. Nice spot.
One of the best State Parks, nice fields! Don't go here, it's still quiet! :-P
Great place for a short picnic lunch, or a long walk. Many trails to choose from, some lead to incredible views. Extremely clean and often quiet.
